And Maine is went to court to get the label banned because Santa shouldn't be holding a beer. You'ld figure a Bible Belt state would be doing this. Maine? I thought that was a blue state.

Is that from the Traveler's Inn in Okemos MI where the tuba museum is? I've eaten there once, but didn't see that brew. DARN!!! I'll have to go back!!windshieldbug wrote:

I arrived in Saigon too late to plan for TubaChristmas here...
BUT I would love to have one next year. If anyone is interested in spending Christmas in Saigon for 2007, please let me know. I don't think, between the four symphony orchestras, six military bands, and handful of tuba and euphonium students in Vietnam, there are enough tuba players to make it successful. I had 23 at the first TubaChristmas I hosted in Riverside, California (I live near the Riverside section of District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City, which is a very wealthy neighborhood--when I tell folks I am from Riverside, they think I live there--I DON'T) But we had a large tuba ensemble which provided the nucleus for that concert.
Here the only tubist I know is one of the symphony players. I need more than that. If any of you all would love to spend Christmas in the tropics, in a beautiful city, plan to spend Christmas in Saigon in 2007 and play for TubaChristmas here.
The best beverages here are:
-Tiger Beer (the Vietnamese version)
-Saigon Beer
-333 Beer (you can call it "three-three-three" or "ba-ba-ba")
-Vietnamese coffee (iced and extremely strong)
-Coffee-flavored Pepsi (Vietnamese version of Jolt Cola--it's not the same as Coca-Cola Blak)
-Dr. Pepper (imported from Los Angeles)
Vietnamese beer is extremely smooth and potent.

Glad to hear it. I was starting to feel self conscious sipping my root beer in my pink underwear.not too manly o' a man to have to pretend to like beer

I'm gonna have a big ol' tall glass of iced tea along with a burger & cheese fries at Snuffer's on Greenville Ave. in Dallas. My wife & I have made it a TubaChristmas tradition for the last 7 years. Ya'll are welcome to join us!
