Need to boost signal from Minidisc to CD recorder.

Occasionally, I find that my recording levels need to be set low on my minidisc because of peaks, room conditions, etc. My problem is that the level when transferring to cd can be pretty low. I would like to be able to boost my signal into my cd recorder, as its recording level input adjustment only goes up so far. I'm thinking of trying a friend's boost pedal (guitar).

Any inexpensive ideas?

Doc, I'd go with one of the inexpensive 4-6 channel mixers from someone like Behringer. Under $100. I think the Behringer XENYX 1002FX would do the job. So would a Peavy PV6. Also under $100.

But, before spending any money you might want to check something on the minidisk first. I have a Sony MZ-M10 mini-disk and from what you wrote I'm guesing that's what you have.

Be sure the AVLS is off during playback. If it's on it may not be letting you turn up the volume on the minidisk during playback.

Less expensive than even a small mixer. But a uni-tasker.
