I like some of that jazz stuff...Jim Widner Big Band, stuff like that...better than regular big orchestra stuff. Something I like even more, is Young Blood Brass Band ..but that's also just a bunch of brass players making as much noise as possible...otherwise, I have nothing...

My favorite singer is David Phelps.A world class singer who chose Christian music. He has a really great recording with the Millar Brass Ensemble(his sister was/is(?) a trumpeter with Millar). It's a Christmas disc but I listen to it year round.

One of my most recently discovered "faves" is the CD titled "Gloria" by John Rutter. It features the cambridge singers and if I understand correctly was conducted by Mr. Rutter hisself.
And features John Fletcher on Tuba with PJBE.

Right now, I find myself replaying Sing, Sing, Sing on the German Brass CD, Power of Brass. There were some trumpet players icing their lips after that one.

If you like Allison Krause and celtic music, pick up The Chieftains: Down the Old Plank Road - The Nashville Sessions. She sings a song on this CD (or DVD) that is as close to perfect as it gets.

My favorite is probably a recording from quite a while ago ... a record of Jan August playing variations of famous classical tunes on the piano.

Amazing stuff.

Tuba related is probably an old recording, copied from record, of the Dmitru Hungarian Tuba.
