Greetings all,
I am currently in the market for a new cell phone, and would like to get one that can at least sync with Palm Desktop on my Mac. An added benefit would be a built-in mp3 player (iTunes compatible), but that may be too much to ask. We are looking at Verizon, as they have the best coverage in our area. I have been perusing the web, but keep finding conflicting info. Has anyone on here had experience with this? I know how much we tubists are into technology....
Any help would be much appreciated. Feel free to answer either on here or as a PM.
Many thanks in advance!!!!
Tim

Verizon tends to cripple a lot of the syncing features of their phones. They do this to make you use their network (and minutes) to sync things.
That being said, I have a Verizon phone, mostly because of the coverage.
There are "tools" you can find on the Internet that will help you hack many Verizon phones to reenable syncing. But, this is not for the faint of heart. If you screw up your phone while hacking it, Verizon is not going to honor the warranty.

I have fought this problem with my RAZR V3c
Verizon wrote a completely different operating system for the phone and it blocks bluetooth file transfers and the calendar is such that it can't sync. Apple did recently make the address book syncable (sic) between the computer and the phone, but it's just Address Book and not iCal. This syncs through iSync. Where I messed up is assuming that the RAZR V3 was the same as RAZR V3c. Pay attention to those details. This website will tell you what phones can be synced with iSync. I hope this helps.
