Dang, that was by far the best football game I have ever seen. I'm a big Arkansas Razorback fan and this game was better than the 7 OT game agaisnt Ole Miss a few years ago.

Let's face it, neither team deserved to lose that game. What an incredible matchup. But I'm glad Boise St. won.

considering the way the BCS runs things Boise St. does not "deserve" to be National Champs based on strength of schedule.

and furthermore I think that the right two teams are playing in the National Championship Game. I think that everyone will agree that Michigan did not deserve another chance at Ohio State.
I'm not so sure that is true. Michigan hadn't played for something like 60 days . If I recall USC played played two more games after MI's last game. There is nothing like real game time to keep a team sharp from my experience. Also, I think Midwest Teams are always at a disadvantage at the Rosebowl when you consider that for USC this was like a home game and they are less likely to be out being tourists like the MI players. Also, the BIG Ten teams spend their time practicing in a significantly different climate than where the game is played which is definitely an advantage for USC.

I think to realisticly see who the better team is you need to play these games just after the regular season ends. Perhaps in this scenario USC would still win - I don't know. BTW, I'm not a Big BLue fan. The Boise game was truly entertaining. Certainly an argument for a real playoff system.

Go Badgers!

As a Boise State fan and graduate... I love this topic. However, before we get too hyped about a play-off.... Well, as a band director, they suck! I think a plus one might work well.

Play-offs are every bit as political as the BCS. The best teams aren't always the ones invited. This, for example, University of San Diego was undefeated at the time the play-offs were announced and they didn't get in because they were in a "weak" conference (but they did beat Yale at Home).

I'll relish the Boise State Win and hope we never get a true play-off.

Worst thing I've ever read on these boards. Why? Logistics? Being a "hassle" getting to the game location?

C'mon dude. Getting there is half the fun! What could be better than 4 bowl trips in 4 weeks?
