Recently came across some "performance" works by Robert Watt
Duet for Tuba: A tuba is prepared so it dispenses coffee from one spit valve and cream from another (1963)
C/S Trace: An object is fired from a cannon and caught in the bell of a tuba. (1962)
C/T Trace: A squeaking toy or an egg is caught between two cymbals. (1963)
F/H Trace: A French Horn is filled with small objects or fluid. The performed enters the stage, faces the audience, and bows toward the audience so that the contents cascades out toward the audience. (1963)

Performance art can be fun. I once participated in a piece in which paintballs were shot at snare drums. Loud and coloful!
