I joined Toastmasters at my employer (who is paying for it.)
Gave my first, "Self-introduction" speech yesterday. Started it off with 76 Trombones played on my CC tuba. It was a good room and I didn't have to force the sound any, so it played itself. Lots of grins, and more people introduced to the tuba as something other than an Ooom-Pah instrument!

Did you mean paying for it, or
paying for it?

To improve your public speaking/presentation abilities, Toastmasters is a fine organization.
If I didn't have my 40+ years of performing in front of people, yes, starting with the preschool/cherub Sunday School class singing "Jesus Loves Me" for the congregation, etc., and twenty years in front of judges and juries, I'd seriously consider joining the organization myself.
Although I've seen more than a few performers, when trying to be funny, cute, or just make a decent seque from song to song in front of a microphone, and more than a few lawyers who claimed to be litigation lawyers after watching them conduct their cases, who would most ably benefit from a membership in Toastmasters!
And thanks, wholeheartely, for restoring the edit function.
