Any NASCAR fans? What a race huh?

My son is a NASCAR fan and watched the entire race. I checked in with him occasionally, and watched the last few laps with him. Great finish. After the close 1-2 finish, I must admit I was quite amused by the car that skidded over the finish line on its top. I can't remember who it was, but I believed the car finished far enough up to get some cup points. Isn't that a first for NASCAR -- a car crossing the finish line on its top? And at Daytona, no less!

I don't think so although I don't have an encyclopedic memory of NASCAR. They have arranged the rules so that no one car can ever 'run away' with the race, hence the close racing. And you *know* Bubba likes cars sliding on their tops!

no, that's not a first...I think Newman has (possibly) flown over the start/finish line spinning in mid-air...

But I think Martin should have won... :x
