Miss my Mom

I was going through some photo albums that belonged to my Mom. I hadn't seen the pictures in years. I thought I'd share one. This is from Arizona State University in 1956.

Mom passed away on March 22. Yesterday was her birthday. She was a fantastic musician. I remember stories of her times with the Phoenix Symphony and San Diego Symphony, particularly of Robert Shaw. (I think she had a crush). She was a bass player, but played Sousa in marching band.
She loved Bach, Poulenc, the Verdi Requiem and Pines of Rome. It seemed anytime I told her about a piece of orchestral literature that I had 'discovered' she had a story or reminiscence about it.
I miss her very much. Thanks for letting me share a little.
