I, however live "uphill" in Denton...the creek bed near my apartment turned into a river, complete with current!

As long as the Denton County Independent Hamburger Co. & the Recycled Bookstore aren't under water & the Arts & Jazz Festival can go on, then my pilgramage will not be in vain.

I was at Texas Woman's University when the flooding started. We were supposed to have a group recital with 12 people total, but most of them were coming up from Lewisville and Flower Mound, 3 of them didn't make it. Everyone who did manage to show up played beautifully - and if you've ever wondered what a piece for euphonium and thunder might sound like, I now know.

The east side of the TWU music school first floor began flooding really badly - this included two professors' studios, the hallway, and parts of the auditorium. It could have been a complete disaster, but all of the students that were there started removing things from those offices and mopping the water out the door. They were assisted by several professors as well as the dean! Unfortunately some of my friends who live in the TWU area were not as fortunate, and their house flooded so badly that they've had to stay elsewhere since then.
