Maybe moving to Denver area?

Post by bort »

Hey all,

I may be considering a move to Denver in about 6 months. I'm going to go visit in September, but in the meanwhile, there are some things I'm thinking about:

- Is this a 'music-friendly' city? Are the sufficient opportunities for an amateur tubist like myself to play?
- I want to live in a 'young, hip, downtown area.' Where should I look?
- What is crime like in Denver? That is, it has to be better than here in Baltimore...right? (i.e., fewer than 300 murders/year, right?)

...and of course, anything else you can offer, please let me know!

Thanks!

Very interesting! I'm more worried about crime and quality of life than a few surcharges here and there.

I'm not too worried about traffic either...it takes me 1 hour to drive the 6 miles to work some days. It can't be much worse than that!
