Should I trash the old horn case ?

So .. I finaly bought a euphonium I really llike. It's 1966 Boosey&Hawkes Imperial. An antique I suppose. The case was marginally useful and finally fell apart and I have ordered a new one to replace it .
My wife wants me to trash the old one. Just one more thing to store .I am not sure I want to that as the case is original . It has stickers of band competitions and schools from Wales and England . Sort of neat looking. It was well made and has taken a lot of abuse. I will probably never sell the horn until time comes I can't play anymore . Hopefully many years from now .

I want to know what the Tube Net freak jury thinks . Should I :

A) Just throw it away and keep peace in the house.

B) Grow a spine a tell my wife I am keeping whether she likes it
or not .

C) Just stuff it away in the attic so that some day I sell it I
can claim to have th originial antique case to go with the
antique horn.

 Woe is me .... decisions, decisions

find a piece of glass and make a coffee table out of it. Great storage for magazines (or small musical instruments).

I've done this--just once with a terminal woodshell tuba case--stripped all the leatherette and hardware off, reglued and filled the wood shell (the interior was fine), then put a couple of layers of fiberglass cloth and resin over the shell, put on new hardware--and stuck it in the garage, since i had no use for it. Looks nice; pretty indestructible (think Walt Johnson) and heavy as the dickens.

Put it in the garage with all of the other guy crap. A man's garage is his home....

Put it in the attic and forget it until you can no longer lift the horn. Then, no matter how nice you keep the horn up, you've got more "provenance" than anyone on eBay can shake a bass clef at!

I have found a home for the old case. I found a Irish/British type pub that has old instruments in their front windows including an old Besson euphonium . They are going to either put the case in the window next to the euph. or up on the wall with some other old instruments .

Here's some pictures of the old case :

I would like to thank Dennis Mercer and Baltimore Brass for their help in finding a good hard case to fit my horn. They had a used British made Meinl Weston/Hiscox case that was a perfect fit for my old British made euphonium .Dennis emailed me some pictures of the case so I could decide if it was I was looking for and when I ordered it he shiiped it out that !
