In the sponsor's section, Lee posted the following (which I assume is no longer the case). Lee may wish to post a follow-up to that announcement, if the snow is now gone and all (tuba) services are restored.

Hello all,
Greetings from Eastern Iowa, where we have had one of the more severe winter storms of my lifetime, and are in the longest power outage in this area in 60 years. Our part of the county now qualifies for disaster relief assistance, as of yesterday morning. There is another severe storm predicted to start tomorrow, so our power will probably not be back to normal before sometime next week. So, I will have limited internet access and severely limited repair capabilities for the next week. Thank-you for your understanding. We hope to be back up and running quickly.

We are safe, and yes, the tubas are safe!

Thank-you,

Lee Stofer

I don't think he is planning to jump back into business until the new shop is ready. He did clear out the old work though, at least I got my Euph back all fixed. I'm sure we would all like an update on the new new shop, complete with pics of the foundation, etc.

I've also spoken with Lee several times in the last few weeks. He had been hoping to salvage an old barn and use it for shop/storage purposes but it turned out that this was not possible and he had to put up a new building. In addition, Lee has become quite in demand as a player int the area (tuba, double bass and trombone) and he is really enjoying these opportunities. The area where he lives in quite scenic (he's but a few miles from the Mississippi at a very scenic bend).
