LPs into CDs

Post by tubafatness »

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with using a turntable to import the audio off of an LP into a computer, then burning the audio onto CDs. I'm looking at the Numark TTUSB Turntable with USB, which seems to be one of the best at a cheap price. I don't want to use the kind that imports into the audio card, as my computer doesn't have one that would do the audio justice. I have a turntable already, but it lacks any output connections, so I'm looking for something to do the job. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I have this particular turntable . Works just great . I don't use the Audacity software that came with it though .I had a recording progam that I was already familiar with and just continued to use it .

Turntable

I have the same turntable described above. I was able to plug the headshell and cartrdige from my 30 year old Marantz directly in to it. It works great and also has a preamp in for my casette recorder. I have just finsihd transcribing old Arnold Jacobs, Bill Bell and Earle Louder numbers recorded in 1961 from the Gunnison Summer Music Camp. I already had Audacity for MP3 editing so continue to use it.
