Traveling in Germany and Austria

As an aside to my musical reports of my recent tour, I will just add how good it was traveling in Germany and Austria.
It is the only country in the world that I know of with no speed limit, so I really did have fun driving my Mercedes E320CDI at speeds of up to 130mph. That not may sound so safe, but I did not see a single traffic accident in my 2,500 mile tour.
I found the people really honest. In one town I went into a bakers for a croissant before having a walk around. I went past the shop again on my way back to my car and was surprised to have the lady from the shop rush out after me. Apparently I had dropped a 10 Euro note when I paid without even knowing. That is what I call honesty.
I also, found people helpful. I could not reach one of my hotels because of road works. I was not sure how to get around, because the only obvious alternative road was also closed. One of the local inhabitants came out and I explained the situation. To my surprise he jumped in his car and led me the 5 mile detour to my destination!
