I like neither tea nor beer. I am a traitor to both southerners and tubists.
I alternate between Coke, Powerade/Gatorade, and Ice water.

beer
I don't know about you yankees but right now in south Alabama
it's real hot.Playing a pool party in direct sun light calls for a beer
or twelve down here. One would think the valves on my 1940 King
would stick after a few Amberbocks but I never have a problem.
Besides being an old guy,I only drink beer when I gig.It puts the
old brain in party mode and the hot licks keep a-comin'.
When we did our live c.d.,Fly Creek Cafe furnished free beer all
night long.We got real disorganized the last set but thanks to modern
studio techniques we managed to salvage most of it.

I don't drink regularly alkeehawl (as I have heard every Southern preacher call it) and can't drink caffeine (think Java Man skit if I even have a little
). Since I also try to avoid carbonation (very bad long term for your digestive system) that doesn't leave very much!
I guess reduced fat milk with ovaltine that I can steal from my son would be my favorite, although I don't have it often. Of course, there's the fat and cholesterol of milk......time for water
I will have to admit that I once had some peach moonshine and it was quite good.

Favorite Drink
Most meals it's Coke
For when I have a 20 hour TV graphics and editing session,
its Mountain Dew, because warm and flat, its still drinkable, Coke is great, but it needs the cold and the fizz.
Most Social Celebrating, Woodchuck Hard Cider from Vermont,
in four flavors, Amber, Granny Smith, Dark and Dry, and Pear.
Microbrew Beers and Ales are plentiful in my area, yum!
Really having a good time, Good Scotch, but I never have a
good time! Wink!

Formaldehyde's even better for your skin--makes it nice and leathery. Speaking of formaldehyde, don't any of you good ole boys partake of home made corn squeezins?mandrake wrote:They say water's good for your skin,:
If I'm eating good heavy food (say, sauerkraut and kielbasa), a thick (room-temperature) imperial stout does the trick for me.
Otherwise, a good wine or even tea or fruit juice. I never touch the canned bubbly sugar water.

Make sure drinking all that water is not affecting the sodium levels in your blood. Low sodium=depression city. They say water's good for your skin, but the only difference I've noticed since I started drinking a lot is the increased frequency in trips to use "the facilities". I've officially degraded to girl-frequency.

On the plus side, I lose weight when I drink a lot of water.

There's nothing like a hot day, pulling out an ice-cold (NOT refrigeratedI never touch the canned bubbly sugar water.

IOW, I like the canned bubbly sugar water, but it's got to be just the right temperature.
