I'm always amazed that people think that truck drivers have the kind of brakes that can stop THAT MUCH WEIGHT as quickly as they can stop their cars... physics, folks!

People are stupid.
People don't realize they THEY THEMSELVES are piloting a 3,000-5,000 pound BULLET at 50-90 MPH and should consider it so when they are at the wheel.
Fast moving mass is dangerous. But hey, we wouldn't want anyone to go without makeup would we? Or that so-important phone call? Or the radio--that song has to go...
I was once run off the road by a woman of middle-eastern nationality who was wearing some traditional garb (not a chador, but something with a HOOD THAT PROBABLY CUT OFF 30% or MORE OF HER FIELD OF VISION). She pulled out from a stop sign into my right-of-way with no idea I was there. I know because I looked into her window and ONLY SAW A HOOD.
Sorry I need to rant that every once in a while.
