Rookie of the year - for the idiot marcher.

at my high school we did most likely to be incarcerated. The kids were fine with it, but the parents didn't find it as funny.

How about 'most damage'.... for the kids that falls with his sousa.

Infamous awards I have seen

Sickie Joe - Unable to hold beer award ( usually a female horn or baritone player)
Red Hand Award - caught escaping to get beer / food in the wee small hours
Commando Award - successful escape award
Spitting Image Award/double take - won by Big Gav Saynor due to his look likeness to Jaws from the James Bond films
Unga Boonga Captain Caveman award - Hairiest player on course
Ripping fund award - most mistakes made 50 pence put in a bucket and the proceeds used to buy a refreshing beer at the end of course ( cheques not accepted to cover a particular rehersal)
Clanger of the year ( blobbing in with most inappropriate mistake - normally concussionist in quiet movment dropping drum sticks)
the Infamous Plup award ( given to a tuba player on the NYBBW course in the 1990's on his inability to read music and dynamics) cue young Richard "Mr Sykes what does plup mean?" cue confusion.......erm Rich thats Piu P) ahhhhhhhhh the horror!!!!
many conductors on the NYBBW were presented with a blowup lady or sheep ( made the cold evenings better I suppose)...ah the mamories ( or should I say memories) fraudien slip there )ha ha

Presidential Award - For being most likely to be on vacation
Al Gore Award - Person most likely to be talking, and therefore contributing to Global Warming
Home Run Award - Person with most extra bass hits

One we did at my high school is evergreen award given to the upper classman who still acts like a freshman.
