I'm not sure what computer you are running but I put the search items:

photograph watermark Windows software

into Google and got a list of possibilities. I didn't root through them but the first few were about $40 dollars and there might be some adequate ones for less.

I did the same search substituting Macintosh for Windows and got the another long list of possiblities. If just want something to make watermarks, this is the route to take.

However, if you have a graphics program, as the last poster suggested, look through the help files and you should be able to figure it out.

GIMP is very powerful but the learning curve can be steep because of all the features. It's 'as good' as Photoshop and is free. If you need/want to buy a graphics program to mess with photos and do watermarks, Photoshop Elements is good. It has about 50% of the capabilities of Photoshop but everything a simple user needs. If you are using a Macintosh, iPhoto which comes with modern Macs should be able to do what you want.

The copper rotary Marzan-thing is getting tiresome (this time: almost up to two grand so far), and I've had pics stolen off eBay quite a few times.

I would kinda like to put as a translucent watermark across my eBay pics.

I use AIS Watermarker. It applies a transparent water mark to any group of graphics files as a batch process. I was able to watermark all the images on my website in less than an hour using it, including copying the images to my hard disk, marking them, and returning them to my ISP server.

It's not free, but then good stuff isn't. This was the best I found that would do batch processes. It's cheaper than a good, windows-based graphics editor that has the easily accessible.
