I was curious to see if I am the only person on earth crazy enough to name my pet after a musician or any other musical term. I'll start.
I have a Sheltie named Jake. You guessed it, he's named after Mr. Arnold Jacobs

Don't have one now, but did have an irish setter named Elwood -- legendary musician and all-around good guy (on a mission from God).

Not 'zactly a musician, but my cat's name is Magical Mr. Mistophofleas. I have a little black cat named 'Kitty'.... her full name is Eartha Kitty... after the legendary singer who played cat-woman in the original Bat-Man.

One of the guys in an quintet I used to be in had a cocker spaniel named Bix, as in Beiderbecke (sp?). As for me, my cat in named Mo Vaughn, after the former Red Sox slugger (kind of tells you how old the cat is, too).

... and if he married a cat named Vanessa Williams, and they had a kitten, Rafe, he'd be Rafe Vaughn-Williams!
