Found this poem:
To the Tuba Girl

Even during your 48-measure rest,
You were noticed.

From the balcony I watched
you foot tap and page turn,
the fingers that counted
to ten again and again…

and your stern, untiring gaze
at the short-armed conductor,
with his tight black tuxedo
and fashionable red socks.

Then you fingered the note
twelve measures ahead,
to make sure of your soon
passing, orchestral debut.

And closing your eyes,
you inhaled two pints of air,
all that that your tenth-
grade body could contain.

And you released your low,
mellow cry to all who would hear,
to all who would welcome
your music inside,

but you ended so soon,
replaced by violas and cellos,
and the director smiled,
waving his arms vivaciously again.

Your part may be small,
but you've chosen right,
for no one again will miss
the girl with the oversized bell,

since even during your rest,
you were noticed.

A declaration of sincere admiration. I liked it.
I'm trying to write a poem (lyric) about "do it your self" love.
So far I have:
Duct tape my heart.
Shop vac my tears.

Anybody have a line to go with that?

Light waft of fart
Hair from my ears

Upon slices of toast
Garnished so fine
With leftover roast
Stale bottle of wine

I serve unto thee
Of gargantuan belly
A victim, I see
Of peanuts and jelly

Your music so bold
You give all that you've got
Tuba of mold
Mouthpiece of snot

At the dawn of the morn
Delight runs among us
At the blat of your horn
And smell of the fungus

Your muse roars out with might
A chansaw attacking a tree
The demons delight
At such cacophony

The spiders are shaken
From refined webs of silk
You've wilted the bacon
And curdled the milk

The evil you're blowing
From the Miraphone anus
Imparts the knowing
Of that which is heinous

We look to the skies
Wailing a prayer
Tears in our eyes
Ripping out hair

Oh diety devine
In your glorious city
Hear children of thine
Beg for your pity

Intervene in our cause
Put a stop to this noise
Before Santa Claus
Arrives with our toys

Remove the real chance
That offended he'll be
Dropping his pants
To poop under our tree

But rather we greet
Santa and eight reindeer
With sound that is sweet
And kind to the ear

Pleased with our beer
He'll gladly partake
Pleased he came here

Destroying the horn
He dances with glee
No more the forlorn
Sound there will be

Back up to his sleigh
Light as a feather
No time to delay

As he flies out of sight
