Before I head for Mexico, here are my picks:
NFC Wildcards
Upsets in both: Washington over Seattle and New Jersey Giants over the Bucs (yes, I know they're really the NYGs).
AFC Wildcards
Jacksonville upsets the Steelers but the Chargers stomp the Titans.
Divisional Playoffs
NFC: Dallas and Green Bay advance. My own bias aside, I still think Green Bay can beat Dallas at home in the championship game, particularly if Owens is still injured.
AFC: Indy and New England advance. Anything can happen with these teams but, at this point, I'll pick New England for AFC Champion.
I'll call the Championship games and Superbowl after I get back and "watch some film."
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

AFC Wild Card
Jacksonville Over Pittsburgh
San Diego Over Tennessee
AFC
New England over Jacksonville
Indianapolis over San Diego
New England over Indianapolis
I think after the game with the New York Giants, it seems pretty much impossible to stop New England.
NFC Wildcard
Washington over Seattle
New York over Tampa Bay
NFC
Green Bay over New York
Washington over Dallas
Washington over Green Bay
Part of it is my bias, but i really think Washington has been playing good, and after the win over Dallas, i think a Super Bowl appearance isn't out of the question.
Super Bowl XLII Washington over New England......
it could happen![/b]

I'd call that a pretty good description. In fact, it pretty well describes many of the teams that exist, in many sports, at various levels.

There are 4 scenarios where New England *doesn't* win the Super Bowl:
a) Jacksonville simply beats them to a bloody pulp
b) Peyton Manning gets into a zone only rarely seen, lights it up
c) Brett Favre gets into the aforementioned zone,
d) Washington gets on a run and is REALLY pissed about that 52-7 beating they took in October.
That being said:
WAS over SEA
TB over NYG
WAS over DAL
GB over TB
WAS over GB
SD over TEN
JAX over PIT
IND over SD
NE over JAX
IND over NE
WAS over IND

Well, since my team had no hope for the playoffs (the lowly Chiefs), I guess I'll be a cheesehead for the rest of the playoffs. At least Dallas is finally out - sorry, Wade.

GB over NYG
I am pulling for the Giants, but with temperatures in the single digits at Lambeau, I don't think the Giants are gonna pull this one off.
NE over SD
The Chargers are beat up, and Tom Brady is not human (cyborg). No way NE loses this game....though, as a Jets fan, I would love to see NE lose.
I'll make a SuperBowl call after the championship games.

I'm gonna agree with you 100% on this.
though, as a NE fan I'm going to say that unless Moss, Welker, and Brady
all get hurt against SD, Pats for the superbowl win and 19-0

I won't deny that my gut says NE for the SuperBowl, but over the last few weeks of the season, they scratched and clawed their way to victory over some middle of the road teams. They haven't played a team of Green Bay's quality in quite some time. If my picks hold true, it should be a pretty good game.
I'd like to see Brett win another one before he retires...plus, I hate the idea of Bill Belichek winning anything. But, as I said, I'm a Jets fan, so I'm probably just bitter.

Growing up near Green Bay, the Packer schellacking of the Seahawks reminded me of the way foolball used to be played - in the snow and no roof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Pack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What? you say...I don't know I just like the idea...You can spat your stats at me and talk about the "perfect season" but hey they did get caught cheating in the beginning. (That and I really don't like the Pats.)
I think this proves the Pats have finally 'arrived' as an NFL dynasty. Not so long ago, the only people who didn't like them were actual New Englanders. The rest of the country didn't even know they existed.

I won't argue that the Pats are a dynasty, I'd just like to point out that--as a Jets fan--I've
always hated the Patriots.
Just not as much as the Dolphins

Not that I particularly care about the Pats, but I'd just like to point out that most of the country didn't even know that there
were Jets fans.
