I have noticed that different people freely express their pet peeves and rants on this board. I would just like to have a collection in one place of what aggravates all of you. No, Joe, you can't post more than once.

How little it takes to make life unbearable: a pebble in the shoe, a cockroach in the spaghetti, a woman's laugh.

Dishonest people are pieces of garbage (to put it VERY nicely).
There's a lot of stuff that frustrates me, too, but most of it stems from dishonesty.
One other thing would be stupidity, or maybe more accurately, "chosen ignorance", as in, "I never saw that before, and I don't want to learn about it." Damned idiots.

People who complain about huge avatars!!!!
Chalking up your pool cue and the chalk getting on your hand and you go to wipe your forehead and end up looking like Mel Gibson in Braveheart.
My radio not picking up 1190 AM in my dorm.

They stand there like a dumbass with that stupid grin on their face like they are the greatest mf'er on the planet because they held a door. Just let me get it! Anyway, that really aggravates me.
People who have forgotten or never knew plain manners. To wit: You do hold the door for somebody (which used to be plain manners), and they repay you by getting in the Starbucks line first.
And people who don't know how to argue artfully without being insulting.
And people who put spaces around an em dash.

I guess I will chime in myself now.
SLACKERS
People who don't try / don't care and do poor quality work even though they are more than capable of doing better if they made even the slightest effort.
Their favorite expression here in the South is "It'llBeAlright" even though both of you know it won't.
I will take a rude person who does a good job over a pseudo-friendly one who does squat any day of the week.

MississississississississississiSSISSISSIPP...BOOM!
Does the same thing for the text window as a huge avatar. Well... this is the 'what aggravates you' thread, isn't it?
Sorry, Wade... The devil made me do it!

Exactly.
My whole point of putting it there.
I have dial-up and these giant pictures take forever to load. Going back and forth from thread to thread is a big drag.
Wade
I also have a dial-up connection. I don't watch enough TV to warrant buying cable so I stay in the stone-age. However, my IP recently offerred an add-on called 'Revved' I can configure it so the pictures are reduced to scribbles and the text loads very quickly. I'm not keen of lots of graphics and could easily have lived with the old TubeNet.

Amen, Wade, amen.
I also hate customers who come into the bank where I work, and roll their eyes, sigh, and walk away, when I politely tell them I don't speak spanish. ESPECIALLY when those customers can speak English, but choose not to.

I disagree Wade. It was your place. When the management of the place didn't contriol the situation, someone needs too. We all have a responsibnility to maintaing society.
At B&N I see more than a few agreed with you.

Driving a van full of musicians by a scenic wonder like the Ocoee River full of rafters and kayakers, and they're all going "Ooo, aah". You have to keep your eyes on the winding road or your going to end up in the river with them.
Going back through there tomorrow, Marty. Wish I had time to say hi. It's a gig in between gigs this weekend.

I'm sure this has never happened to any of you...
Walking with a horn (or two), some comedian says, "Don't you wish you'd played the piccolo?"
Really original.
If, in fact I DID play the piccolo he would say: "Don't you wish that you played an instrumewnt that wasn't gay?"
