Coca-Cola Vanilla zero. Had my coffee and Emergen-C earlier. Will have a Sam Adams Winter Lager later. No organic tea today, though...maybe tomorrow.

"Reconstipate" it with Diet Dew instead of water -- the powder dissolves better, and the flavors aren't bad together (I use the kind with glucosamine & chondroitin, which is tangerine flavored) ... 8)

Real ale for real men who play real tubas

Could this be the only Image "approved" Real Ale (when on draught) named for one of our own TubeNetters? This incredible, zymurgical artistry certainly has this teacher's approval.

Ah, yes -- Abbot Ale. A product of the Green King Brewery. When I was at Cambridge the summer of 1984 I consumed quite a quantity of Abbot Ale. One of my favourites.

Don't add it to a Black and Tan or Maker's Mark on ice. It just doesn't work as well. Plus people stare at you at work.

In a few minutes, I'll be carefully heading out the door to brave the ice to get to work, assuming there is power at work. (My folks lost power in the ice storm around here last night -- they're fine, they checked into a nearby hotel for the evening.) I'm going to get my 22-oz travel mug with my Starbucks refill sticker, and fill it up with whatever grind is the grind of the day, for 85 cents plus tax.

Being shut in from the ice yesterday, I did not get out, and I missed getting a freebee Monday coffee at McD's.

It's gotta be homemade, though. From actual limes. Not the crap in the carton.

Although I have Pilsner Urquell and Newcastle in the fridge, I am plenty happy with 2-3 cold cans of Milwaukee's Best Light. Not too proud to say that I enjoy it, either.

Prior to practicing the Great Highland pipes, the only fitting drink is a gallon of piss and vinegar.
