Dammit, Bones, you're a doctor. You know that pain and guilt can't be taken away with the wave of a magic wand. They're things we carry with us -- the things that make us who we are. If we lose them, we lose ourselves. I don't want my pain taken away. I need my pain.

"the hand".

As long as it's the entire hand, that's fine -- 20% is *not* sufficient!

Company spends a third of a
million dollars on a new high-speed, high-capacity data storage sytem (NAS) to replace our aging SAN. As the resident server guru, I spend many nights and an entire weekend migrating all our data, at the expense of sleep. Everything works great for the first week and a half, and then something in the system malfunctions and all of our data slowly begins to become corrupt on a systematic basis. So, more nights of sleep are lost as we restore off a dozen DLT tapes with the last known good backups to the old SAN, not to mention the 1-3 days behind most of our data becomes. Company brings in a whole new NAS and installs it. Guess who gets to give up nights and weekends to migrate everything to it again???
At least the company I work at is a worthy cause

It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it...

With all due respect to my vocation, I am sick of the tuba right now. Someone please come over to my house and remove all of the musical instruments for a few days; I need a mental break.
I knew this one was coming. What a privelege it must be to have the opportunity to be sick of the tuba.
Here's my whine: Aquiring a Bachelor's and Master's degree in tuba, doing a year of GPD studies at a major conservatory, and realizing there is too damn much competition on the audition circuit, not enough private teaching to be had where I live, culminating in some occasional freelance playing, a handful of students, and a lovely day job building furniture and cabinetry where the seniormost workers get to determine what is played on the radio 8 hours per day(trust me, it's not Mahler,Wagner or Stravinsky).
Come visit!

That's what we're here for.
1. Paris Hilton CD.
2. The Robert Tilton sermon.
3. The Smurfs soundtrack.

A whiner song about "Fluffy" Source - The Bob and Tom Show.
My dog is smelly. He can't catch a frisbee. He don't know when to stay or sit. But there's one thing I'll say, that you can't take away. That dog is fluffy
He digs in the garden. He jumps up on my clean shirt. He barks at nothing the whole night through. But there's one thing I'll say, that you can't take away. That dog is fluffy.
(bridge)
Fluffy, ain't no big deal, in a world of Rin-Tin-Tins. Maybe being fluffy, is all there is to him.
Heeee - sheds in the winter. He sheds in the summer. He bites the guy from, U.P.S.. But there's one thing I'll say, that you can't take away. That dog is fluffy. Yes there's one thing I'll say, that you can't take away. That dog is fluffy.

The one-eared iPod is your friend. DaBoss can talk to ya in one ear and you can kinda listen to something good in the other.
Being a cabinet carpenter is better than a framing carpenter- you get to do it inside where it is dry. Count your blessings.

This is the most legitimate whine thus far.

I'm getting REAL tired of snow, high winds and temperatures that require a "-" sign.
