I had the good fortune of hooking up with Eric Linsicum (WakeinAZ) and his son in Flagstaff today. He took possession of my last horn, we ate lunch, and had a grand time. Eric is a great guy, if you are ever in Tucson give him a shout. He won't brag on himself, but he as a one-time IU student of Harvey's and knows a whole bunch about tubas and music in general. I'm just sorry I had to rush out of there to get back to Las Vegas. Eric, if you are ever up this way you have a place to hang your hat. Oh yeah, I got a SWEET 1960 Olds O-99 that Dan Schultz refurbished in the deal. I actually played it tonight for a 1/2 hour. Not going out on a limb, but there were minimal or no signs of my Focal Dystonia. I have been down this road before and will never get my hopes up, but maybe there is some magic in the thing. Not enough for me to trade in my baton, but enough to enjoy a 1/2 hour of sounds. Thanks Eric, I hope you like the "Slammer" as much as I did. Hopefully I left some good notes with the not-so-good in there!!!!!!
