Yes, many (Half? Quarter? Two-thirds?) of these accounts are bots.

If they were actual hackers that had some actual hacking skill, it would be quite a sight to see (though probably not nice at all).

Actually, in all honesty there are just two of us. You and me (and my 4,998 other screen names). You could say that this place is therapy for me. I have a hard time keeping up with all of my various "bloke" posts, and the "Windshieldbug" and "Scooby" posts take time as well. The other names are just for fun and I use them all much less often. I have been forgetting to log in as "Doc" recently for some reason, however. Anyway, whenever you interact with anyone on this BBS it is actually just me.

   That does explain a lot...

Funny...there's only 4737 names in the Memberlist...does the total at the bottom of the homepage included folks who have been "kicked out"???

Which makes this site the same for the rest of us. It is always a great relief to know, that somebody else is much worse off.

I couldn't get the list to sort by date joined, but I've got to be up there somewhere. I joined the day after you did. I just don't post much anymore. 8)

Actually... there are many who have been on TubeNet waaaaay longer than 18 March 2004. I think that is the date that Sean moved to the new format.

Sorting through the member list, I noticed that a lot of names begin with "tuba". What's the deal? Is this site associated with tubas, or something?

Oop, sorry, I thought you meant just the new format.

I've been around since mid-'98...so that puts me well outside the group of "originals." 8)

I generally prefer getting the hand to getting the finger, although I just ignore either one.
