Jacobs' Old Trombone

Just for fun,
Excerpt from Arnold Jacobs: Song and Wind
"He planned to play trombone in the junior high school band, but his relationship with the band was short lived. While traveling through the mountains of west Texas with his family in their 1927 Hudson, the trombone, which was strapped to the running board, fell off and was lost forever."
The thought of, "What if someone found this trombone?" occurred to me while reading this passage.
I wonder how much it would be worth? The most expensive very old hunk of brass ever? Maybe, but I guess we might never know.
