Hi,
Back in 1975 with the Hanwell Brass Band, we were in & out of the BBC studios regularly. One of the TV shows we recorded a theme tune for was PC Penrose. The story of a daft policeman and his adventures.
Click on the 'multimedia' link on this page and you will see the short intro and here me playing the theme (lol);

Thanks guys, but not too worry. In any posting on any forum you leave yourself open to good & bad.
Yes I was braggin in a way, because the Hanwell Band was a big part of my life, from leaving school, until going to Sun Life Stanshawe in Bristol in 1980. It could not have been better grounding in virtually every aspect of championship brass banding for a young school leaver, and I attempt to keep that famous London name alive in the history I compiled;

When I discover these lost gems I go overboard to let everyone know (lol).
btw, the keenest ears would have detected the different sound of the Euphonium in those days (another reason for posting), that of the narrow bore Besson New Standard, long before the days of Denis Wick m/pieces!

OK, let's go all the way then!
Peter Skellern with the Hanwell Brass Band & Choir, 'You're A Lady' that reached number 3 in the charts;

He then went on to do an LP with Grimethorpe.
And Terry Wogan's version of the Floral Dance, in a different arrangement and key to the BB version published;

Thank you for posting the links. Sounds great. It made me wish I had a better soundcard in my office computer.
