Ladies and gentleman,

I regret to inform all of you that my fiancee, Gretchen Snedeker, was killed in an automobile accident yesterday afternoon in Oneida, NY. She was on her way to teach at Colgate University, where she was struck by another motorist, and was killed shortly thereafter. I cannot even begin to express to you what I am feeling, but I know that she would want as many people to know as possible. Gretchen was the most incredible human being that I've ever met, and I loved her more than anything. Thank you for all of your love and support.

Reading your post filled me with sadness, Andy. As I sat and read it, I was overcome with that sadness. I know your loss is great. Life will never be the same for you, but I pray that God will help you to deal with your grief.

Quite honestly, words fail me right now, but I believe all of us who know you would want to send you our condolences. I hope you will pass those along to all those you know who are grieving this terrible loss.

Just keep on keepin' on. The passing of time will never erase the wonderful memories you have, but it will dull the pain. We lost a "grandchild to be" last month and the time thing does work, gradually, eventually. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of Gretchen's loved ones.

You have my deepest sympathy and prayers. If you ever feel overwhelmed, talk to somebody. That is one of the hardest experiences to get past.

:( :( :( I'll add you to my prayer list. The Lord bless you and keep you; the lord make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

The sense of loss must be overwhelming.

Let your friends help you in this most difficult of times.

I certainly will keep you in my prayers.

A close friend (more like an older brother) went through this same thing a few years ago. My condolences are with you and the rest of her family and friends. Be sure to surround yourself with people who love and support you.

Andy,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Know that my thoughts are with you and Gretchen's family at this time. I second two suggestions here: keep on keeping on, and if it gets too bad, talk to someone.
