Trumpet for the Out of State Nephew

My sister has asked for assistance procuring a trumpet for my third year trumpet playing nephew. Here's the hitch - they're two states away from me.

Do any of you know of some reputable, high quality dealers in the Charleston SC area? To anyone living down that way... is there an environment in that area where repair service providers won't service what they don't sell (i.e. if the horn is purchase from one of our favorite brasswind/dillon/baltimorebrass/midsouthmusic dealers we're stuck when Jr. goofs up his intermediate horn)?
