WHO was your favorite monster?

Post by Brassdad »

When you were growing up (or at least getting older) who/what was your favorite movie monster?

I thought this could pose an interesting series of answers based upon the varied ages of members (who aren't robos) and the varied geographic locations.

I found on Chiller TV today one of my two faves...The Creature from the Black Lagoon (the Gill Man).

My other favorite hardly ever makes an appearance any more, although he hardly did back in the early 60's either. He was one of the Japanese "rubber monsters". Gammera was a giant turtle that not only breathed fire but, after pulling into his shell would shoot flames from where his arms and legs were and would rotate and fly.

The Blob.

For years, I lived and worked about a 1/4 mile from the diner in Downingtown...

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

The site limited my ability to list options on the poll. Others I wanted to include got more modern...but I figured people wouldn't be bashful about adding on in the discussion.

Perhaps I should have put "other" in place of Zontar...but for anyone that ever saw "Zontar the thing from Venus" I just had to put him up there  .

Yes, I checked Godzilla only because he's pretty cool and very misunderstood, but this is my personal favorite movie monster:
