Medical breakthrough save Eight Bells

Post by Brassdad »

Just breaking over the wire.........................

Eight Bells, second place winner in the Kentuckey Derby aparently wasn't completely dead when the vets attempted to euthanize her after she broke both front ankles.

A Monte Python fan saw that she wan "Not dead yet" and was "Getting better. With some radical surgery she not only survived, but is back in training for the remainder of the Triple Crown..............

I think this means she would be in the "Ostrich" class now.

Apparently, the 1st place winner's prize is not being made into stew...
