Stay in Colorado Springs or Manitou. I'm sure there are a couple of nice hotels in Woodland Park but for the price difference you will most likely be better in Springs. I hit a lot of conferences and weekend getaways with the wife in the Colorado Springs area and have had very good luck with Priceline and very nice hotels for pennies on the dollar. Of course this is all dependant on the time of year and what else is going on in the area, but when I was at CMEA in January I got a nice King room at the downtown Clarion for about $30 through Priceline.

Depending on the weekend there might be a free Brass Band concert in Springs or southern Denver. I'm on my way to rehearsal right now so I'll see if they have the November schedule set yet and let you know. Too bad I'll be in North Dakota by that point

Shleppy,

I don't know about hotels/motels in the Springs area, but you might take in a
Denver Concert Band concert at 7:30 pm on October 25 in downtown Denver.
