I LOVE the 4th of July holiday! My community band does concerts before fireworks displays on the 3rd and the 4th... plus a parade on the 5th this year. The 4th of July concert is preceded by a family picnic for band members and their families. It's become a tradition. It's a heck of a lot of work to put together activities like this but it's well worth it to see so many people enjoying playing music together.
