You know you watch it. Admit it. Any thoughts or comments?

I did a quick search and found it's a TLC show about parents of 8 young children.
In going to the TLC link, I was treated to an incredibly loud trailer with no volume controls.
Super. My neighbors thank you, TLC.

I don't watch. I find them very obnoxious.

My wife watches it occassionally; at that point, I go upstairs to read. This is like any other "reality" show - it reflects a complete lack of creative talent in the TV business.

I've seen it a couple of times. The parents are actually kind of comical at times.

Yes, I've seen it. Personally, I don't think it does the kids any good to have their lives broadcast to the world, and I think it's irresponsible of the parents to agree to have the kid's lives plastered all over cable TV. As for all the other 'reality' shows (The Kardashians, Gene Simmons, the Two Coreys)-

what is the attraction? Do we really need all these pretend, made-for-TV people all over the place?

I really don't mean to offend anybody, but that kinda struck a nerve because I see it from a very different angle.
* I'm sure raising eight kids is difficult, especially on one income.
* I would bet the parents are getting paid for it.
* Income from the TV show probably helps their family tremendously.
* I don't see how the parents helping their family makes the parents irresponsible.
I don't have eight children. I haven't been in their shoes. I'm don't think that any of us merely being people who have watched their TV show can really judge them.
As a soon to be father of only one, I've seen the show a couple of times and it scares the crap out of me. When we had our first ultrasound, I blurted out something to the effect of "woohoo, there's only one!".
