I found an old brass players excuses t-shirt in a rag pile today. it brought back some memories....

enjoy... :D

I haven't had time to practice.
My horn is cold.
I practiced it faster.
I had to cough.
I've never played this before.
There's water in my horn.
My lip is shot.
i didn't know we were repeating.
It sounded better at home.
My tuning slide is stuck.
The transpositins is changed.
That's a bad note on my horn.
My lips are chapped.
A valve is sticking.
i had to breathe.
I don't like this piece anyway.

ken "feel free to add some more to the list...." k

  • My F tuba has a few funky notes
  • I got tired of the jerk or 2 being so jerky
  • I guessed I proved all teachers wrong, I am an idiot, STUPID, and there ARE such things as STUPID questions
  • i get mentally harassed at work
  • already have 41 hours this week out in the 100+ degree heat
  • my hands are in severe pain from work
  • Tubenet is not a scholarly paper
  • All i have is my laptop to record
  • After a while, there really isnt new stuff for some teachers to say
  • my aunt sleeps in till 9 on weekdays, so I cant really practice then
  • I cant practice after 9 because thats when my uncle goes to sleep
  • im trying to formulate a warmup for someone with severe ADD (self diagonsed) and I cant focus for longer than 10 minutes
  • I wanted to be at ITEC, but I had to work
Believe it or not, that's only since July!!!

My tuba was in my closet.

I ran out of Kaopectate, so if I blow too hard, I'll make a mess.

I don't have enough electrolytes.

My mother doesn't feed me whole wheat bran muffins.

I don't need to practice. ( )

Oh, is that the key?

I forgot which horn I was using.

It's not in my five octave range.

I don't have my own horn.

The pachyderm next to me is too mean.

I'm out of practice, the army guys stole my other gigs.

The stars aren't lined up right.

I'm out of practice, I've been to busy posting on online tuba forums.

I'm too tired.

I'm taking 21+ credit hours and I'm in 8 ensembles (used a bunch at school).

I'm not in the mood.

I don't like the acoustics.

My teeth hurt.
