Admit it, huh? You worthless sack of violas!
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Haiku is nice, but
Please give back our limericks
Which kick harder butt.

There once was a tubist named Earl
Who played his horn, "like a girl,"
But it wasn't his fault
You see he got caught
In the sack with a flautist named Pearl.

In his gigbag: a flutist named "Pearl"!

Limericks, like other poems and jokes are selected, collected, printed and published.
A reader of this collection will enjoy - maybe a small percentage of them and consider the rest to be crap.
Nothing wrong with that.
Some of the offerings on the limeric thread were often bad but there were the good and fun ones as well. Same with the haiku thread.
I most enjoyed writing with my tubenet buddies. The twists and turns writing one line each is interesting and enlightening and sometimes even good.
This can be done with the haiku form as well.
Anybody up for that?
We pronounce it Guf Coast

Limericks must rhyme
haiku lines are only stress counts
what fun is that; fingerboard
