Technically, anything posted onto YouTube is not allowed to be saved for use off line. Their "Terms of Use" says such.
There certainly are ways to do it. Look in your Temp files, f'rinstance. I'm not sure if that's viable or not, to be honest, but everytime you watch a YouTube video you're technically downloading it, you're just not saving it. Nor are you supposed to!

The new RealPlayer has a very easy way to save YouTube videoss When you install it, you just find the video and save it to your hard drive to be viewed in RealPlayer.

Real Player is about to be sued by Netflix and Red Box for their software which rips from rented DVDs. This according to an NPR report today.
