You should be proud, Bloke. A lady with such talents can come in mighty handy.
My wife thinks my tuba playing is sexy, cooks well and lets me keep a motorcycle and a sailboat. A combination I find hard to beat.

I dunno.... Tubists tend to sweat a lot when they play. Does she mop your brow and turn your pages? (That could be a line from a filthy blues tune...)

My wife is a licensed counselor * ; her primary job duty is to determine if a person needs to go to a mental hospital, and then get them approved. Board members (like Frank O.) who knew me in my younger, less stable days, 20 years ago will find this amusing.
* Too bad she earns less than a shift manager at a fastfood restaurant but has a 6 digit student loan bill. She is interviewing for a job with an insurance company, for twice the pay, where her primary job will to keep people OUT of hospitals.

My wife can't fix anything.... not vacuum cleaners.... not major kitchen appliances.... not even microwave meals.
BUT.... she's a descent saxophone player and has a REAL job... as a pharmacist!
The deal around here is I fix stuff and keep the house from falling down... and she pays the bills. I suppose I'm a pretty expensive 'pool boy' but as long as there are no complaints.... life is good.

Isn't there an article in the Geneva Convention specifically outlawing that?

There is a guy here in Reading who for years ran a music store. Two years ago he expanded his business to include bar-B-Qs. Now he sells all kinds of smokers and the Big Green Egg cooker, etc.
so now it is Fred's Music and Barbeque Supply. Honest, I am not making this up you can check out his site online...

Wade! You married a Bass Trombone player? Most of us are really ugly. I'd hate to see your kids. There is one that is worth a second glance glance though.

She can play too. Heard her with the Artie Shaw orch. last winter. Blows the bell off that Duo Gravis.

My wife is a school psychologist and has four graduate degrees to my high school diploma.
She is studying for a fifth masters in the psychology of the
tuba player. Her dissertation is on the successful removal of Marvel Mystery Oil from white, shag carpet, and avoiding random outbursts of natural gas.

This gal plays trombone with a locally-based touring group. She's also subbed with our German band, The Rhine Valley Brass. Fantastic trombone player and VERY easy on the eyes. She's gonna be a good catch for someone!

Well, let's see. Hmm. And yes.
She's a born Jew turned Apostolic Christian, like me. She has perfect pitch and an IQ higher than my mother's, which is very, very high. She's drop dead beautiful and just turned 26 to my 34.5 years. Not bad.
She owns a house bigger than mine in a beautiful neighborhood. Well, now we have two homes and two tubas.
And all this after I dumped a six-figure movie score in Hollywood to work at a tiny Church in Charlotte. A little flock...
Proverbs 28:20
A faithful man will abound with blessings, But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.
I've been punished in the past. Many, many times.
Things have changed lately.
1 John 2:29
If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is begotten of Him.
None of it came through my goodness, for I am a man like all others and am no good in the flesh. Only with Christ in me can great things be accomplished.
Jude 1:25
To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

This Friday night, I implore you all to try prayer on the Sabbath to the true God of creation, and avoid evil spirits at all costs! Love to my fellow tubists, one and all.
