I emptied my water...(not for the faint of heart)

Post by k001k47 »

So... I hadn't played my horn over the weekend.
Today, as I was about to warm up, I check for water; naturally,(since the practice room is cold) there is water.
I pull my slide out to empty and
a huge roach pops out.
I hope it wasn't carrying eggs...I will get a chem clean asap. (I'm trading this horn)

Wow, that's too bad! I'm sorry to hear about that.

I'm tellin' ya', though. You should have upgraded your Piggy's software to v1.1.

It gets rid of all the bugs.

It was alive.
I think this will forever affect my playing career (that I don't have)... :(

Yeah, but think about how much gunk the critter ate while it was in there, making the eventual chem clean that much more effective!

Heck, it may have pushed your next chem clean back by a week or so.... who knows, it may have been in there quite a while and saved you some serious bucks.
Sounds like a great business opportunity to me- kind of the 'Green' alternative to putting all those noxious chemicals through your horn...

I gave the horn a bath, and now the second valve is making more noise than it did before.
Any help?

Set off a bug bomb inside your tuba.
Add ten drops of 30 weight motor oil (detergent, of course) to a full bottle of your present valve oil.
We pronounce it Guf Coast
