Since we are not to get political on TubeNet(a difficult topic to completely avoid), I will comment that it is too bad that most of the USA doesn't stay on top of things as well as Bloke does.bloke wrote:Once the coal industry is intentionally bankrupted (as has been mostly recently promised) , you'll see more and more stuff like this (along with those clamp-on 2-cycle engines w/rubber drive wheel for bicycles, etc., etc...)
In my opinion, it must be.lgb&dtuba wrote:Is it actually a requirement that every time someone designs one of these things that they make it look as dorky as possible?
How about one of these?Bob1062 wrote:http://www.the-uno-tomorrows-transportation.com/" target="_blank
I remember reading about these a year ago. Side by side, electric, gyroscopically controlled "motorcycle." The inventor is a Canadian kid just out of high school. His prototype only went 15mph, but he said 40mph is doable with some refinements. Suppsoedly, an 8 year old kid rode it at an auto show with NO problems at all. You lean forward to go faster, side to side to turn, and back to slow down. The only control is the on-off switch/key/whatever....
I want one!!
Silly! You don't ride IN one, you ride ON it!schlepporello wrote:The problem I have with these itty bitty cars that the guys behind the drawing board keep designing is that they don't take into considering how a normal sized person such as myself will ever fit in one of them.
Aren't you always saying it's in your mouth?schlepporello wrote:OK, then what do I put under the other foot?
Cool! Is it self-propelled?OldsRecording wrote:So it's the wrong color.
One problem for someone like myself who is not vertically challenged. Because it is considered a motorcycle in my neck of the woods you would have to wear a helmet even though your inside the darn thing. A lady in lincoln has something like it and has to wear it.
Yeah, but what does he play when he does beer hall gigs?LoyalTubist wrote:.......It's simple. He has identical Yamaha CC tubas at the Opera House in Saigon, Philharmonic Hall in Hanoi, and his home in Ho Chi Minh City. ....
