Community Bands In Texas

OK folks! I did this a while back when the Mrs. and I took a little drive to California. This time, it's going to be a bit shorter drive to Houston for the ACB Convention in April. We plan to leave a week early and return a week after the convention which is from April 15th thru the 19th. We plan to play in the convention band and will have our horns along, anyway. Are there any other amateur community bands within a few hundred miles of Houston who wouldn't mind a tuba and alto sax sitting in?
We don't have a particular itinerary. It may just depend on where the bands are!

Dan,
I'll e-mail you details, but there must be 20 community bands in the Dallas Ft worth area, Probably more. They range from just passable to excellent. A couple of them are simi-pro.
I work with five as either conductor and/or playing Euphonium or Tuba and I play with a quintet.
I will send you an email to fill you in on details. Before I do, It would help to know if and when you might be in the Dallas area. I know at least two bands that I work with that would be very pleased to have you and the Missuz sit in, one is the Shrine Band on Wednesday night. The bands I have in mind meet on Monday and Wednesday nights, but other days are probably possible.
You have my email address. PolkaNoble<AT> aol.com
