The tragedy that occured last night, just a few miles down the road from my house, claimed the lives of 2 members of Chuck Mangione's Band, who were slated to perform with the Buffalo Philharmonic this weekend. The aforementioned concerts have now been cancelled.

I saw Don today. He is ok, but a bit shaken up by what happened. He lives pretty close to where that plane went down.

Hi-
Scary stuff. I was filing in for Don for the rehearsal and concert--we had a 1PM rehearsal, and the Orchestra P.M. called about 1030 this morning saying that two of Chuck's guys had been killed in the crash and all was off. The crash pictures are very terrible. I am amazed planes were even coming into the airport last night--I had lost power here from 6AM yesterday to 830PM last night due to very high winds and wet heavy snow/ice. When the plane went down last night at 1020PM the winds were still quite strong, and having flown that Continental flight in the past --small prop plane, when it was windy, it was VERY bumpy. A real tragedy.

Andy,
Glad to hear that Don's OK, I hope that his neighbors and friends are all alright.
My prayers are with everyone. Make sure you give anyone close to you that extra hug and let them know you care for them.
