My band is doing a concert tour to St Lucia in February 2010 and I was wondering if anyone has suggested things of musical (or other) interest I should see, or do while there?
Any members of TubeNet live in St Lucia?

My wife and I spent 3 months on St. Lucia while we were cruising the Caribbean aboard our sailboat. If you are interested in reading about our travels you can go to my website
here. The stories about St. Lucia start with
"The road to Soufriere."
St. Lucia is one of the most beautiful Islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Make the trip to Soufriere to see the Pitons. Don't just hang out in the towns. Get out and see the countryside.
The largest musical event on St. Lucia is the yearly
Jazz festival, but that is every May.
Enjoy the trip.

Marigot Bay has to be the harbor with the bluest water and the greenest palm trees I have ever seen.

The WTAMU Symphonic Band commissioned New York composer Bernard Hoffer to write a piece for their TMEA performance in 1999 and ended up with a brilliant piece entitiled "St. Lucia Morning." Hoffer and his wife vacation their every year. It's a very cool little piece, 3 movements, about 18 minutes long, little bit soundscape, little bit caribbean, little bit funk. Not sure if it's published or not, but I have a recording if you're interested in having a listen! Good luck with the tour!!!
