Yeah, the problem is, they're going to start considering marching equiptment weapons...won't be long before they make having a sousaphone in public an offense publishable by jail

The subject of this thread is more than correct. Marching band girls have instruments, batons, flagpoles and wooden rifles to assault you with.
Also small 3-5 piece bar bands with a chick singer are a potential minefield. One male player forms a relationship with the girl and you have a faction within the band that can rise up and smite you all.
I have hired many lady musicians. My advice to them was do the whole band or don't do any of them.

I hope to God that none of my old high school band colleagues ever read this article or ones like it. Their individual and collective egos are high enough already. :?
