Immprobable tuba sightings

I was flipping channels this morning and did a double take on a Sabrina the Teenage Witch episode. It was set in a high school band/orchestra/music room and on a shelf on the back wall was a 2J. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a 5J as I froze the screen and studied it for a while. I can understand how in Hollywood a 2J might surface pretty easily with a call from the prop department, but the improbablity of a that tuba in a HS setting struck me as humerous. :)

There are a couple of tubas in the beginning of the new Harry Potter flick. There are two tuba players (no band) on the pedestrian bridge in London. I was watching the movie with my tubist friend, and this was my face when I saw it:

Isn't that sculpture in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Japan? Does anyone know if the artist just canabalized a couple of sousas or is that a scratch work? From the looks of the grass, or lack thereof, directly in front of the bells, I think there may be some interactive properties to it as well. I saw another photo in which it appears there are speakers in the bells.

These things are similar to something in our local park; a cone shaped device approx. 3 ft. above ground connected to plastic pipe going into the ground and emerging some 10 ft. away into a similar device for kids to stand at each end and talk/whisper and experience how sound can be transmitted through such a thing. :)

I'm pretty sure (when blond-guy-what's-his-name - the very first time - went into the storage room where the what-cha-ma-call-it cabinet was) there was an instant where there was a shot of an old tuba sitting on its bell.

Immposssible, you say?
I think those sightings alone made the movie for me :D

' seemed to me (tubas and sarcasm aside) to be "low budget" (though l-o-n-g) compared to all of the other H.P. movies, and little more (seemingly) than a "set-up" for what is to come in the final movie. Of course (somehow...though I haven't read any of the books) surely the headmaster will have - sometime in the past - "hidden part of his soul" somewhere, so he'll be able to come back from the dead...
Sadly, creating horcuxes is an extremely dark art. Do you think Dumbledore has killd anyone in his past?
I know everyone wanted him to come back to life after that sixth book was released...
(has read all them books at least 4 times)

This thread reminds me of of the thread about that one episode of House. :tuba: *chokes and dies*

I was sorting through my clip file and noticed this:

Howland Owl is playing a Lehnert Horn!

(I know Walt Kelly was very much involved with the Dixieland Jazz players at the Disney Studios, but I have to wonder how he came up with that reference!)
