Marking my territory
I was talking with an old friend yesterday about the problem of neighborhood dogs and cats doing their business in our yards. He gave a suggestion that he claims has solved the problem: marking his territory the way nature intended.
Should I try it?

I think you will be disappointed with the results, but if you don't try it, you'll always be haunted by that question - what if I had peed in my yard, as nature intended? So, I suppose, you will have to try it.Uncle Buck wrote:I was talking with an old friend yesterday about the problem of neighborhood dogs and cats doing their business in our yards. I'm betting that after a sniff, they'll only be tempted to escalate the "marking" war...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

The problems with this:bloke wrote:If/when neighbors complain, plead ignorance and tell them that it's just as much their problem as it is yours.
In the meantime, roaming dogs/cats will get the message.
- Whether the neighbors object or not (one would hope they would), it's just as much your problem as it is theirs
- The message to dogs will be "great stuff to roll in over at Uncle Buck's!", and to cats will be somewhat ambiguous since it's not clear it's possible to deliver any kind of message to a cat.

Hey! If you can't pee in your own yard.... where CAN you pee? Right Bloke?
Question... will human pee turn the grass the same color of yellow as dog pee?

The funniest part about this thread is this: at the time of this post, not one person has voted " No, that's gross".

Not surprising; it's the low brass credo: "Piss on it!"Tubaryan12 wrote:The funniest part about this thread is this: at the time of this post, not one person has voted " No, that's gross".
