This sounds like a "satire" written by a 15-year old "band kid" after spending the day watching Swing Kids in Band class when the director was out...

B.S., in part.
The gist of the text is quoted from Josef Škvorecký's Red Music, an essay including in some versions of the fictional novella The Bass Saxophone, the relevant versions of which were first published in Canada in 1977. He claims he first saw the words in a Czech music journal during the war. But that is refuted by experts, apparently.
Baldur von Blodheim was not mentioned by Škvorecký, and he never existed, nor did the position Reichsmusicfuhrer, which, by the way, is a misspelled and improperly constructed German word.

I'm sure the Nazis loved tubas, too, but yeah, saxophones and fascism just can't get along. It's kind of like recorded opera music outside to drive away the bums - it works!

I'm not sure about this one, but would the term "classical saxophone playing" be an example of an oxymoron?
