Old New Boy on the Block

G'day all. After a few years of not being around - following total computer failure and a shortage of funds for a replacement - and about 20 moves - I've gotten around to getting registered here. (Think maybe Schlepporello might have sped that up a bit - thanks mate and Sean)
Last time I was on was in the old free access, anybody could post era. The new way seems to have cut out some of the primary school-ish posting that used to go on!
Maybe, once in a while, I might have a thought on a topic which could possibly be worth looking at. I'm not generally one for sugar coating things but after a few years with Jake, a year with Harvey and a bit of all round experience have seen or done a few things.
It's good to see so many long term members keeping things lively.
By the way, Schlepporello has quite an interesting site with his "strike up the band"; well worth visiting and joining.
I haven't done any playing for a few years but might have to go join a local brass band if they have a spare axe about the place. Being in the sticks of the land of Oz it will likely be an old Boosey Imperial of some sort but who cares. While a new super tuba would be nice the old things still do the job and can make some good noises.
catchyallater,
Ken
